Project Introduction: In February 2018, Longma supplied 1,560 tons of API 5L X52 PSL1 LSAW welded steel pipes for an oil transportation pipeline project in the Ural region of Russia.
The project adopted large-diameter line pipe with the specification of 1420mm OD × 14mm WT × 11,000mm length, designed for long-distance crude oil transmission across regional trunk pipeline systems. As one of the key energy corridors in Russia, the Ural region plays a strategic role in connecting upstream production areas with downstream refining and distribution networks.
All pipes were manufactured using longitudinally submerged arc welding (LSAW) technology, ensuring excellent dimensional accuracy, uniform weld quality, and reliable structural integrity for continuous oil transportation service. The API 5L X52 PSL1 grade was selected to meet the project’s requirements for balanced mechanical performance, weldability, and cost efficiency in large-scale pipeline construction.
This project demonstrates Longma’s capability in supplying extra-large diameter welded line pipes for international oil transportation systems, particularly in demanding long-distance infrastructure projects in cold-region environments.
