Project Introduction: In March 2021, Longma supplied 3,160 tons of ASTM A252 Grade 3 (Gr.1035) LSAW welded steel pipes for a major foundation piling project in Houston, USA.
The project utilized large-diameter structural steel pipe piles with specifications of 1219.2mm OD × 19.05mm WT × 12,192mm length and 1219.2mm OD × 15.88mm WT × 12,192mm length, designed for deep foundation systems supporting heavy-load industrial and infrastructure structures.
Manufactured using longitudinally submerged arc welding (LSAW) technology, the pipes ensured excellent weld integrity, high dimensional accuracy, and reliable structural performance required for driven pile applications. ASTM A252 Grade 3 material was selected for its high yield strength and excellent load-bearing capacity, making it ideal for deep foundation and marine/industrial construction environments.
This project demonstrates Longma’s strong capability in supplying large-diameter structural steel pipe piles for demanding foundation engineering projects, particularly in complex soil conditions and high-load construction environments such as Houston’s industrial and coastal infrastructure zones.
